Giant Killer _ 03
Good Morning Church,
This morning I hope you can join us because I am preaching sermon series on slaying the Giants that continue to fight against us in our everyday lives. These Giants of fear, discouragement, and this morning we are going to kill the Giant of Loneliness!
Loneliness is a big-ole, ugly, nasty, vile, evil kind of Giant that at some point in everyone’s life he will attempt to destroy all aspects of godly peace. Loneliness does not care who you are and has a particular interest in attacking Christians because they are supposed to know better. Loneliness has no particular interest in gender or age and Loneliness will attack in the broad day light or in the darkest part of the night. Do not take lightly this Giant, doing so will only bring you pain.
This morning we look to God’s Word as our guide and through it God imparts his strength for us to stand before this Giant with our sling and stone and bring him to his knees. God is faithful and good! God is for us not against us! God is our Warrior King! God will never leave us nor forsake us! He is our every present help in time of need! I am telling you this morning church that Loneliness doesn’t stand a chance in a church where the saints of God are sold out to the Lord Jesus Christ! Because just like Jesus who left the 99 to find one; the saints of God should never let another saint be destroyed by Loneliness!
Ecc. 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
I hope you can join us this morning…
