Good Morning Church,
Man, I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome God is! Over the last couple of weeks, we have been blowing and going at Joy Baptist Church. We started our evangelistic outreach called CanWeTalk. We have already had 10 contacts, 8 Gospel Conversations and one conversion in two weeks of going out and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! We are still celebrating lost sinners are being saved.
Last week we had our D-Now weekend where nearly 20 students showed up for the weekend and experienced a great time in worship as God began to break down barriers in these students’ lives. We are so happy and excited about what God is going to continue to do.
Last Monday was ManChurchETX and God breaks through to another hard heart and another man is saved through this ministry! God is so amazing! Last night I had the opportunity just to sit back and enjoy the presence of God at Mobberly Baptist Church as Men from all around East Texas came and learned that real men worship God!
But even in all those high points people are still struggling. Struggling is a necessary part of life where God does his greatest work within us. This morning we are going to examine the patriarch Jacob and see how God blesses us through the struggles. When we think about Jacob, remember that his struggles began before he was even born.
21 And Isaac prayed to the Lord for his wife, because she was barren. And the Lord granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?”
Yet God would use Jacob and through him the nation of Israel was born! God will bless you in your struggles if you will turn and see Jesus in the greatest struggle of human history. His death upon the cross for the forgiveness of the sins! If you are in a struggle today then let me invite you to Joy Baptist Church and here how this great Patriarch dealt with his struggles.
Join me and be my personal guest. We begin 10:45.
